Robert J. Lloyd, fondly known as Bob, passed away on 22 July 2024 in Nassau Bay, Texas. He was born in Detroit, Michigan to John G. and Mary Lou Lloyd. Bob is survived by his brother; Charles, or Chuck Lloyd; his sister-in-law, Hyang Lloyd; his uncle, Roger A. Lloyd; his niece, Nikki Lloyd; his beloved dog, Aya; and numerous family members and friends.
Like his father, and much to his brother’s chagrin, he had a passion for fishing, looking at houses and properties but almost never actually purchasing, woodworking, and boating (and pestering his brother to come along). He also had a lifelong love of dogs, specifically golden retrievers.
In place of a memorial, a celebration of life with his friends, families, and dogs was already held on Sunday, 28 July 2024. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a memorial donation of money or wish list items in Bob’s memory may do so to the City of Nassau Bay Animal Shelter at:
