Neal Joseph Broussard, Jr., 76, of Friendswood, Texas, passed away on November 11, 2022. Neal was born September 14, 1946 in Houston, Texas to parents, Neal Joseph Broussard, Sr. and Mary Kathryn (Dues) Broussard.
Neal proudly served his country in the United States Air Force achieving many awards and honors. Starting in the Corp of Cadets at Texas A&M University, he quickly rose to the rank of Captain and was a vital part of the Strategic Missile Command program. His meritorious service to his country was just one example of his exemplary character. After 12 years of service Neal was honorably discharged where he began his civilian career and started his family.
Neal retired from the Oil & Gas industry, as an Executive Petroleum Engineer after 36 years.
Neal was a proud Texas A&M University Graduate, having received both his bachelor’s and master’s Degrees in Petroleum Engineering.
Neal is preceded in death by his parents.
Neal leaves behind to cherish his memory, the joy of his life, his daughters, Terressa Trahan and husband, Scotty and Kathryn Faircloth and husband, Casey; his brother, Wayne Broussard, grandchildren Adeline Trahan, and Caleb, Evan and Abigaile Faircloth, as well as Ex-wife Peggy Broussard and many other family and friends. He will be greatly missed!
In his honor, there will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas with a rosary to follow. A funeral mass is planned for Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 10:30am at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church in Dickinson, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests, either plants or donations in his name to Texas A&M University Foundation or School of Engineering.
