William (Joe) Howard Thompson, of Dickinson, passed way peacefully in his home surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 28, 2021. He was born on October 20, 1945 in Jeanerrette, Louisiana to Winfred and Oma Thompson. Joe retired from a 30 year career in chemical operations. He was a member of the Anson Jones #1416 Friendswood Masonic Lodge.
Joe loved the Lord very much. He enjoyed his time as a member of Nassau Bay Baptist Church. His hobbies included a good round of golf as well as vacations with his family. He found great pleasure looking for the biggest and best roller coasters and water slides to challenge him. Joe loved people and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Donna and sisters Glenda, Mary and Judy. Joe is survived by his wife Patricia of 57 years, son Wade Thompson, daughters Theresa Thompson Kroesch, Cheri Thompson McCleskey, grandchildren Drew McCleskey, Colby McCleskey, Brent McCleskey, Kenyon Kroesch, John Kroesch, William Kroesch, Wesley Thompson, Ashley Thompson, Joey Thompson, great-grandchildren Dexter McCleskey, Eric McCleskey, Kinley Kroesch, Kade Kroesch sister Ann Chapman, brother Carl Thompson and many other loving family and friends.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, December 31, 2021 from 10:00 – 11:00am with a Ceremony at 11:00am at Nassau Bay Baptist Church, 18131 Nassau Bay Dr, Houston, TX 77058. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
