William (Billy) Lera of Texas City, TX passed away at 77 on January 9, 2025.  He was born on September 30, 1947 in Galveston, TX to Angelo (Sonny) and Eugenia Lera.

Billy had a love for fishing, cars, cars shows and swap meets; he also enjoyed working in his garage daily.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters; Barbara and Bonnie.  Billy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Lera, his son Michael Lera and wife Tanya, his sister Joan Ryan, grandchildren; Nicole, Sarah and Michael and his great-grandchildren; Connor, Ezra and Kiah and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2:00pm with Deacon Fritz Claydon officiating.
