Walter Mack Hales, Jr., 75, of League City, passed away at home surrounded by his family. Walter was born September 12, 1942, to Walter Mack, Sr. and Ruby Hales in Galveston, Texas.  He was a truck driver and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Walter was preceded in death by his parents.

Walter is survived by his beloved wife Oralia; children, Walter Hales III, Annie Marie Gonzalez, Lisa Rose, Kenneth Hales, Minerva Garcia, Maria Hogan, and Juanita Luna; sisters, Melinda Downs, Idanell Hales, Mary, Karen, and Kathy; brothers, Bill Hales and Dennis Hales; seventeen Grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

A visitation in his honor will be held 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, with funeral services 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 10, 2018, both at Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson, Texas. Interment will follow at Dickinson Cemetery
