Vivian Lehman

Vivian Lehman, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Thursday, July 4, 2024, in her apartment at Grand Living in League City, Texas.

Born with a heart full of love on February 2, 1941, in Willimantic, Connecticut, Vivian was the daughter of Willimantic Fire Chief Joseph Leo Rivard and his wife Fabiola Mary (LaMontagne) Rivard. Known for her beautiful blue eyes, Vivian exuded a passion for life and her family. Throughout her life, she delighted in various dance styles, singing, crafts, and connecting with others. Her infectious enthusiasm for music and dancing brought joy to all who knew her, while her talent for crafting brought beauty into the lives of her loved ones.

Vivian faced profound loss in early 2023 with the passing of her beloved husband John on January 23, followed closely by her brother Maurice Rivard on February 5. Her resilience and strength during these difficult times left an indelible mark on those who knew and loved her.

Vivian will be deeply missed by her surviving brother, Roland Rivard (Jean Rivard); her children, Sandra Low (David Low), Donna Martin (Thomas Martin), Glen Bennett, Debbie Landeck (Wayne Landeck); stepsons, John Lehman Jr. (Suk Hi Lehman) and David Lehman (Kelly Lehman); her fourteen grandchildren, Brandon, Britney, Ashley, Tommy, Marie, Demi, Kayleigh, Keri, Daniel, Katie, Nathan, Sam, Charlie, Sonya; her eight great-grandchildren, Phoenix, Levi, Zoey, Gabriel, Tristan, Charlotte, Lydia, Sofia; and a host of extended family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and warmth. We will forever cherish the time we had with her.

Remembered for her love of life and unwavering kindness, Vivian’s spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those privileged to have known her.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 3pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 E. Main Street, League City, TX 77573. Visitation will precede the service from 2pm to 3pm at the funeral home.

  2. Vivian was a wonderful wife to John Sr in his final years and loved all of our kids and grandkids. They shared many adventures, enjoyed their traveling, and socializing with their friends at the Tiki Bar over looking Kennedy Space center.
