What a precious friend. We moved in down the street from the Bakers over 50 years ago and our families bonded. There was no one quite like Verna then and she hasn’t changed now. Our loss is certainly Heaven’s gain. My heart and prayers go out to all the family.
So sorry for your loss, but I know she is where she looked forward to being. I have wonderful fond memories of her from my childhood. She will be definitely be missed by many. I love you all. Prayers lifted for strength and comfort in the days to follow.
Verna was a sweet and fun addition to our ladies group at FBC Seabrook. We will miss her joy and laughter.
I will miss my GodMother, my aunt. I will miss you so much, yet I know you are in Jesus’s arms. There are so many memories I have of our families spending time together. Laughing and seeing everyone grow in our faith in Jesus. Till we see each other again in Heaven. Love, Suellen Royer.
God Will heal your broken hearts and bring you peace throughout this sad and sorrowful time ….is our prayer. Please except our deepest condolences. Our prayers and love are with you and your family.

Love to all of you. Beautiful and classy woman! I’ll be praying for the family 🙏🏻
I always enjoyed our talks. She always had a uplifting message for me. As she joins my husband in heaven, they both will be missed. Rip sister-in-law.
Verna was a bright shining star in our Green Isle neighborhood. Friendly, sweet, and special. A wave of sadness sweeps over me when I pass the house, but I know she is in a better place. Blessings to all family and friends.
Sending our love and prayers from Louisiana.

My deepest condolences and prayers to all of her family. I will miss seeing her walking her pup and our conversations. A truly beautiful person.
Verna was such a sweet person. I would often sit and talk with her in the neighborhood of Green Isle and I enjoyed our conversations. My condolences and prayers to Sidney and her family. She will surely be missed.
Verna was one of the sweetest ladies I’ve ever met always encouraging! I know she’s in Jesus’ arms happy and healthy! She will always be missed! Prayers for all the family!!
Tetaunt will be greatly missed, such a God loving person.
It was such a privilege to be influenced by her as I grew up.
Prayers of comfort to Uncle Sidney, Mel, Denis, Reggie and their families. Please find peace in knowing she is home.
I know I’m really late posting my condolences but every time I tried before I would cry and couldn’t see the screen to type. I met Verna and Sidney about a year ago and quickly realized what amazing people they are. The last 5-6 months that they lived in our Green Isle neighborhood I would spend time with them several times a week at their house. Verna and I would get to talking and poor Sidney couldn’t get a word in edgewise (which he told us more than once)! I miss her deeply but am comforted knowing that she’s out of pain and in Heaven. She’s probably sitting outside those pearly gates waiting for Sidney! It is rare that you make that instant connection with someone and feel blessed for having known them. I don’t need to say RIP Verna because I know she is!
So very sorry to hear of Mrs Verna’s passing. I was her neighbor who just knew her from my walks, but she was so precious and a sweet blessing to me. Perhaps one day we will meet again, walking the streets of gold.
