My sincerest condolences to Verda’s family.
We bowled together for a least 5 yrs. and had many conversions as we car pooled to the bowling alley. Verda was a beautiful, smart, fun loving lady. There wasn’t anything she could not do. I loved hearing about her R.V. trips & how she would amaze all of the campers with her backing up skills. She would back into the slot & this tiny woman would pop out of the truck. She loved her fishing tournaments with her girlfriends and golfing.
I will miss you, Verda. You left us too soon.
Verda:
No words today, just happy tears of the memories we have of you. My deepest condolences to the family and a huge THANK YOU for sharing this jewel of a woman with us. It won’t be the same bowling anymore Verda, you left your mark!!!!
The depth of your love for Verda is measured only by the many tears that have been shed for her. Time helps to heal the heart. Right now, it may help to gather the family and everyone go around the room, one at a time, sharing their own favorite story or time that had with Verda. Someone needs to record it all. LIKE: I remember many day sitting in her classroom making it through Algebra with her guidance. I was able to handle HS math because of my time with Mrs. Banister. I then became good friends with her daughter, Carey. I’ll never forget the decorations in Carey’s room, all designed and crafted by Verda. She also hosted many JrHS parties, where i got to kiss my first boyfriend and play spin the bottle and truth or dare. She kept her eye on us all, while embarrassing Carey when she’d poke her head in on us. “Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end…”
Deepest condolences to Verda’s family. I first met Verda when she and Jack moved in across the street ten years ago, and we discovered that Jack worked with my brother-in-law as Houston Pilots. They were great neighbors and we shared a lot of laughs at various events. We played Bunco once a month and shared stories about our kids. It was obvious that her family meant everything to her; she loved them fiercely and was very proud of all of them. Rest in Peace, Verda. You are missed.
My sincere condolences to the family. She was a great and caring Teacher.
Very sweet lady.
What a loss to our community. Verda was not only beautiful outside, but inside as well. She was always the best dressed at all of our events. It seemed it took her bowling ball forever to knock down the pins. We will miss her vitality and forever smile. She will always remain in our hearts.
