Valinda Kristine Washburn Smith was born October 02, 1976 in Lacrosse, Wisconsin. She was raised there and in Minford, Oregon until moving to Sugarland, Texas at the age of 15. She lived in Manvel, Texas from around 1995 to 2003 and then lastly on League City, Texas. She was the youngest of five children.

Kristine passed away Thursday, February 12, 2025 at the age of 48.

Krisitine is survived by her husband, Danny Wilson Smith, Jr; daughter, Farren Renee Donaldson with husband Trent; daughter Alysta Marie Friedell; and Son, Danny Wilson Smith, III; and grand-daughter, Mavis Rose Donaldson.

She is also survived by her parents, Carol Ann and Richard Carl Washburn; sister, Glenda Bronnerich and husband Tim; brothers, Richard Carl Washburn, Jr. And wife Laurie; Alan Russel Washburn and wife Brenda; and Brian Lee Washburn; and 6 nephews and 4 nieces.

Kristine enjoyed creating art work and caring for her plants. She was also often entertained by the antics of her cat, Maya and chickens, Blondie, Red, and Cookie. One of her favorite pastimes was socializing with friends over a good meal.

She worked in the oil and gas business for close to twenty years and made many friends. She worked from some big companies such as ConocoPhillps, Atwood Oceanics, and Fugro. She was a purchasing agent and then moved up to being a contract specialist.

The Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00pm with a Ceremony at 1 o’clock at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573.
