Troy Gaines Uzzell
Troy Gaines Uzzell went to be with the Lord Jesus on November 14, 2017. Troy was born to William and Maggie Uzzell on June 21 1920, the youngest of 12 children.
Everyone loved Troy. It was impossible to go anywhere without seeing someone who knew and loved Troy. He would often be seen wearing a Navy cap as a proud member of the United States Navy and WW II veteran.
Troy loved the Lord and his family and gave his all for them. Troy is survived by his wife Gwen of 32 years, his daughter Judy, grandchildren Dan (Joanne) White, Don (Marcie) Uzzell, Brian (Ann) White, Alicia (Gerald) Reuter, great grandchildren Jessica (Sefarino) Longoria, Amanda (Devin) Myers, Elizabeth White, Christine White, Zachary Uzzell, Adam Uzzell, Matthew Uzzell, Jackson Reuter, Jewels Reuter, Abigail White, and great great grandchildren Aubrianna Myers and Vincent Longoria.
A family graveside service will be held on Monday, November 20th at Forest Park East at 12 PM. Donations can be made to Dignity Hospice in lieu of flowers.

We just saw the notice of Troy’s passing and wanted to convey to the family how much he meant to us! He was one of the good guys for sure. Always greeting you with a smile, whether at church or on the street, he never had an unkind word to say about anything or anyone. He and Dave used to share old Navy stories when we were still at First Baptist Church, Texas City, before we moved to Whidbey Island. We both loved Troy and his spirit!
