Tommie Jean Frees, 92, of League City, Texas, passed away March 1, 2022. She was born April 17, 1929 in Henderson, Texas to Jake and Elizabeth Gamble. Tommie lived in Houston, Texas for 17 years and then lived in League City, Texas for 50 years. Tommie enjoyed being a professor for College of the Mainland for 10 years. She was affiliated with Temple Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband John Burt Frees who passed away in 1997, son Johnny B. Frees, sisters Tea, Patsy, Doris and Elizabeth and brother Sonny. She is survived by her daughters Tommye Jean Royal and Diane Mullener, sister Ruby, 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A private graveside funeral for family will be held March 12 at Fairview cemetery.
