Tomasa Martinez
Tomasa Martinez 52 of La Marque, TX passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born in Galveston, TX to Celestino and Ignacia Martinez.
Tomasa has been a resident of La Marque for over 43 years and is a longtime member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time at Galveston Adult Day Care and with Golden Rule Services.
Tomasa is preceded in death by her father Celestino Martinez. She is survived by her mother Ignacia Martinez, three sisters Gloria Zepeda (Martin), Consuelo Martinez (friend George Garcia), and Helen Zile (Barry), one brother Enrique Martinez (Rosalinda) and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to Consuelo who took excellent care of our sister Tomasa.
Pallbearers: Booker Washington, Micah J. Mireles, Christopher Zepeda, Michael Martinez, Jason Zepeda and Julian Figgs. Honorably Pallbearers: George Garcia, Jerry Esmond and Billie Wilson.
A visitation for Tomasa will be at Queen of Peace Catholic Church on February 16, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 with a Rosary at 10:30 A.M. and Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. with Msgr. James Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

Tomasa was a special lady and could light up the room with her laughter. I am so glad I was able to serve her and the family during the years that I did. My deepest condolences to the family. You’re in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
