Thomas Ray Ball

Thomas Ray Ball, 71, of Dickinson, Texas passed from this life on December 22, 2021.

He was born on November 14, 1950 to parents Buford Ray and Rosalie Margaret (Lucher) Ball in Orange, Texas.

Thomas grew up in Orange, Texas and graduated from Stark High School. He was very active in sports. He was a pitcher for the University of Houston and was later drafted by the New York Mets. Thomas was always dedicated to whatever he was involved in.

Thomas worked as an accountant in hospital administration.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn Rosalie Ball and brother, Bruce Ball.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 4:00 pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A graveside service will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Orange, Texas on Monday, January 3, 2021.

We will miss you, Tom.

  3. I met Tom in my early teens, we played on the same Colt League baseball team (VFW). Besides being a good friend, he could really bring the heat with his fast ball. I consider him as a Great friend, and he will truly be missed.

  5. I knew Tom for many years.. Tom was a year older than me
    In school.He played sports with my brothers..After graduation he went
    to college at U of H . Then, moved away and worked for several hospitals
    in their accounting dept. He would come home to visit his mom
    and dad until they passed, and he made our home his home when
    he came in town.
    He put himself in his work like he did his sports. He world work
    until the early hour in the morning. When his brother Bruce got sick,
    he moved back to Houston to take of him. He was a good and gentle
    person. Tom. May Your Soul Rest in Peace, Amen 🙏 🙏🙏
