Talmadge Mordant Mosley

Talmadge Mordant Mosley,80, passed away on July 4, 2023, in Webster, TX.  He was born on July 16, 1942, in Birmingham, Alabama to Talmage and Pauline Mosley.  Talmadge is survived by: the love of his life, his wife of 59 years, Barbara, son; Carlos (Stephanie), daughter; Pamela (Christopher) Kneedler, son; Neil (Sherri), sister; Katherine Bellenger, brothers; Bill Mosley (Laurie) and Jimmy Mosley, grandchildren; Cassandra Mosley, Sterling (Haleigh) Kneedler, Bradley Mosley, Joshua Mosley, Forrest (Devan) Kneedler, Rachel (Clay) Evans, Lexington Kneedler and Adam Mosley; great grandchildren; Willow and Rosemary Kneedler and numerous family members and friends.

Talmadge earned a bachelor’s degree in mining engineering from the University of Alabama. He spent most of his early career working for Island Creek Coal Company in West Virginia and his later years with Interstate Coal in Eastern Kentucky.  He held numerous positions from Section Boss to the Executives Chair.  He made and retained many of his friendships in the coal industry.  He had a passion for golf, hunting and spending time with his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 9th, at 1:00pm at Brookdale Senior Living Community, 780 W. Bay Area Blvd. Webster, TX 77598. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a memorial donation in Talmadge’s memory may do so to the “Special Olympics Kentucky”, 105 Lakeview Ct. Frankfort, KY 40601.
