  2. I have know Steve for over 48 yrs. and I will truly miss our conversations and communications over the phone and internet. To all who are family and his friends, my deepest sympathy and condolences. To some who knew him the closest knew how he was. He was more generous than most and cared more than some believed, about family. He was tough on political views, (HaHa) and I would sometimes take the other side just to get him going, LOL. If you knew him and didn’t understand his humor then you weren’t alone. He got me, quite a few times, with his candor and dry sense. He was my Johnny Carson. He will always be my friend. God bless you Steve!!!

  4. I am shocked and saddened to learn of Steve’s passing. My heart goes out to all his family!
I, too, was a classmate with Steve and we had remained close friends all these years! I visited him in Pearland a couple of years ago and talked to him rather frequently by phone. Steve was in my wedding with Bill and we were some of the first to hold little “Chip” when he was born!
Steve had a huge and tender heart which he mostly tried to “keep under wraps”. He had an unconditional and loyal love for those who were close to him! If only he had been determined to quit smoking he might still be with us. I will so miss him!
