Shirley Davis, of Seabrook, Texas, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Webster, Texas at the age of 82. She was born on November 23, 1932 in Jeddo, Pennsylvania to Miles and Florence Akers. Shirley was affectionately known as Nanny, Nanny Shoes, Grammy, Mom, Mother and Mama and spent her entire life devoted to the care and raising of her children and grandchildren. There was no sacrifice too great for her family. She lived life with honesty and love. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, parents Miles and Florence, sisters Doris and Phyliss, and brothers Robert and Dale. Shirley is survived by her children Wendy Davis and husband Michael Tinson, Philip Davis, David Davis and companion Joan Mazzolini, Matthew Davis, Christopher Davis and wife Esperanza, Robin Casas and husband Richard, sister Ruth, sister Pat Fatula and husband George, grandchildren Dylan Davis, Christopher Davis II, Rachael Casas, Camille Davis, Anne Davis, Aaron Davis, as Nanny always put it “The Beautiful” Holly Tinson, Sarah LeNoir and husband Geoffrey, great-grandchildren Noah LaMance and Aiden LaMance and many other loving family and friends. The Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 1-3:00pm at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main Street, League City, Texas 77573. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
