Shirley Ann Wolfe
Shirley Ann Wolfe, 81, of Texas City, passed away Friday, April 26, 2024. Shirley was born February 9, 1943, in Calera, Oklahoma, to Floyd and Vivian Simpson.
Shirley was a lifelong resident of Texas City. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. After retiring from Walton Roofing as a Bookkeeper she enjoyed spending time in her yard cultivating her flower gardens and creating a peaceful place for her family to enjoy outdoors, decorating was Shirley’s second favorite pastime. She enjoyed remodeling her home to fit the latest trends. Her painting skills were outstanding and she met some of her closest friends through this hobby. Christmas was her cherished holiday to spend time with family and friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth Wolfe and sisters; Nadine, Leota and Vera Kay. She is survived by two daughters: Leslie Wolfe and Susan Elfstrom (Ronald); one son: Kenneth “Scotty” Wolfe (Janna); eight grandchildren: Ryan McLain, Taylor Wolfe, Emily Schroeder, Kenzie Gonzales, Megan McLain, Daniel Elfstrom, Gage Wolfe and Karley Wolfe; seven great-grandchildren: Wyet McLain, Rylan Schroeder, Lenny Collana, Caliber McLain, Owen Schroeder, Jace Gonzales and RaeLynn Graddy, sisters; Peggy, Darla, Barbara and Linda and numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley will be missed by all who knew her and we will rejoice with her in heaven one day.
A visitation will be from 4:00pm -5:00pm Wednesday, May 1, 2024 with the service at 5:00pm, at Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque, with Rev. Bill Cole officiating.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, St. Jude’s, American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors.
Shirley was my co-worker, mentor and friend. Her presence in this world will be missed. I loved her uplifting spirit, her smile and her laughter! Prayers for peace and comfort to the family.
Shirley I grew up having Easter egg hunts with your family and my mom, yall were a big part of my life when I was growing up and I’m glad I got to see you and talk to you after alll those years. You will be truly loved and missed, tell my mom hello when you see her up there in heaven
Shirley was very special! She taught we so much while we worked together at Walton! We had made recent plans to meet for lunch this coming month after an hour 1/2 conversation where we laughed and touched base with past work stories and memories. I will cherish our memories and our last conversation Shirley!! You will be missed! Condolences to her family!
