Sharlotte Ann Gates passed away peacefully on September 28, 2017 in League City, TX at the age of 67. Born on February 3, 1950 to Eva Mae Hinton and Junior Russell Johnson in Gladewater, TX, she worked as an administrator for many years with South Texas College of Law, University of Houston, and Lone Star College. Sharlotte loved decorating for all of the holidays and spending time with her family. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Eva Mae Kelly, her father, Junior Russell Johnson, and her grandparents, Tom and Marguerite Wadsworth. She is survived by her husband, Raymond Kirby Gates, her son, George Richard Cryar Jr, her brothers, Charlie Johnson, Clinton Edward Kelly, Clifford Eugene Kelly, and Eddie Ray Kelly, her stepson, Kirby Dell Gates, her stepdaughter, Lisa Gates Orn, as well as numerous friends and relatives. She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 1 o’clock at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573.
