Shane Clifton Harding, 47, passed away from a sudden illness on September 3, 2024 at Houston Methodist Hospital. Shane was born December 27, 1976 in Houston, Texas to James Earl Harding and Peggy Sue Baird. He grew up in Dayton, Texas and graduated from Dayton High School in 1995. He spent the last ten years in Winnie, Texas with his devoted wife, Brandy, raising their family.

Shane and Brandy met at Up’s Club in Channelview, August 1998, while he was a manager. The night they met, Shane told one of his waitresses that she needed to go find his
future wife because she would be there that night. After that, Shane went home and immediately told his mother that he had met her and she would be his wife. The rest was history— they were married in 2001. Meeting your soulmate is rare, but Shane and Brandy were endlessly thankful to hold and love each other for the last 26 years.

Nothing in life was more important to Shane than family. His children— Madison, Matthew, and Maverick— were Shane’s absolute pride and joy. He did everything for his family, always going above and beyond to make sure they knew they were loved. Shane’s children and wife were his entire world, his utmost priority.

Shane had such a fun sense of humor and loved joking around. His favorite way to get a
laugh was through a good prank or jump scare. He never missed an opportunity to chase his boys with a bug or anything he could find that might freak them out enough to get a good scream. He always brought the laughs with him, wherever he went.

Shane is proceeded in death by his father, James Earl Harding; and grandparents, James
Gordon Harding, Zina Marie Harding, Claude Clifton Baird and Marie Ruth Baird. He is
survived by his wife Brandy Harding (45), children; Madison (17), Matthew (11), and Maverick (7); parents, Dan and Peggy Stansbury; siblings, Misty Bartolomei, Jason Harding, Jeremy Bringer, Heather Baker, Lynda Ayala, and Jack Stansbury.

Services will be held September 7, 2024 at Crowder Funeral Home. Viewing will be from
9-10 and service from 10-11.
