Sandra Rice Brumley

It is with mixed emotions that we announce our precious momma’s change of address. On Monday, November 4, 2024, our momma, Sandra Rice Brumley moved from this earth to her new home in Heaven. I can’t even imagine what it must feel like to be in the arms of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior. We will miss her tremendously, but she left us with the knowledge and peace that if we accept Jesus Christ into our hearts as our Lord and Savior, then we will one day join her again in the arms of Jesus. Making sure her family knew Jesus Christ as our Savior was her primary goal and purpose in life, and for that, we will be forever grateful.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lev Brumley, her son Stephen Douglas Brumley, her father and mother, Claude David and Deloris Rice, her brothers James David Rice, Claude Morris Rice, Harold Max Rice, and Rayford Rice and sister-in-law Peggy Rice, her sister Janice Chapman and brother-in-law Bobby Chapman.

She leaves behind, temporarily, her son, Randy Brumley and daughter-in-law Phyllis of Ennis, Tx; her daughter Lisa Johnson and son-in-law Raymond (Binky) of Alto, Tx; her daughter Jodilyn Coleman and son-in-law Stacy of Mont Belvieu, Tx; her daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Brumley of Santa Fe, Tx; her son Matthew Brumley of Santa Fe, Tx; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren that she loved beyond measure and was so proud of. Also, her sisters-in-law Jacquie Rice and Bernice Rice and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a longtime member of Calvary Houston in Friendswood, Texas where she served in folding bulletins and the greeters’ ministry, where she made many wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers Momma has requested that donations be made to her favorite charities: St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and Children’s Miracle Network.

There will be a Celebration of Life in honor of Sandra’s life on Friday November 15th, 2024 at 11:00 am. at Calvary Houston 3700 FM 528 Friendswood, Tx 77546

A Graveside Service will be held at Old Palestine Cemetery in Alto, Tx on Saturday November 16th, 2024 at 1:00 pm

  3. To all of Sandra‘s family.
I know she will be missed so dearly by so many friends. She was a very precious lady and so glad I was able to know her. Being part of the senior group at Calvary was such a blessing. The the only comfort is knowing she is in the arms of Jesus and we will all be together again. My prayers are with your family.
