Samuel Lee Foster
Samuel Lee Foster, 81, a resident of Dickinson, Texas passed from this life on June 30, 2024.
Samuel Lee Foster was born on March 18, 1943 in Midland, Texas to Spearman Holland Stewart and Edith Laverne (Foster) Stewart. After Samuel graduated from Carver Jr. and Sr. High School in 1961, he pursued higher education. He received several awards during his educational venture to include Dean’s Honor Roll, Best Student Dancer Award, and was Student Council Leader. He worked several years as a manager and later became an auto mechanic for McRee Ford where he retired in 2014. He was a hard worker and proud man of little words whose actions were heartfelt.
He spent his free time coaching local children and hosting games. He enjoyed baking and was known for his delicious brownie recipe. He loved his grandchildren and was a very involved grandparent.
Samuel is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, children Antonio Foster of Dallas, Texas, Christa Foster of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Shawn Foster (Candice Reyes) of League City, TX; siblings, Spearman Holland Stewart Jr. (Denise Stewart) of Dallas, Texas, Wanda Laverne Stewart of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Travis Earl Stewart of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Toya White (Darrell) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Yasmin Tredell Jackson (Alvin) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In his honor, there will be a celebration on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. Please contact the funeral home for further details. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Foundation to Advance Vascular Cures.
