Ryan “Waldo” Alexander Alberts
Ryan “Waldo” Alexander Alberts, 29, a resident of Dickinson, TX, formerly of Alvin, TX passed away suddenly doing what he loved on May 13, 2021 in Webster, TX. Waldo was born August 21, 1991 in Houston, TX. Ryan, known as Waldo for his glasses and ability to disappear randomly as a child, was a simple, smart, caring, protective, personable and affable man; like water rolling off a duck’s back. He didn’t have much for possessions, but he was proud of the few items he owned, such as his RV that served as his home and his remote-controlled airplanes that he meticulously maintained for optimum flight. We believe he felt that he had the world in his hands. For eight years, he worked for Kahn Pool Services where several of his customers adored him. During his visits to the customers’ homes, they would take time out of their regular schedule to have conversations with Ryan on a personable level while he conducted maintenance on the pools.
Ryan’s fascination with aviation started when he was about 16 years old. Through the generosity of a colleague of his father, Ryan was able to train in the pilot’s private two-seater propeller airplane, and in the span of about five flights, he grasped the concept of piloting an aircraft mid-flight. This eventually led to his interest in remote-controlled aviation where he purchased his first trainer airplane around the age of 20. Soon after that, Ryan acquired a small A-10 Thunderbolt, and he could repair a plane with ease. Second to aviation, billiards was his favorite competitive sport which he had entered several contests with two wins under his belt.
Waldo is survived by his significant other, Sylvia Lewonas; mother, Phyllis Alberts, and father, Kenneth Alberts; brothers: Ian Alberts, and Sean Alberts; niece Bailey Alberts.
A visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021 followed by a service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland, TX.

Ryan was the sweetest young man who always had a smile and played with my
dogs as he serviced my pool. He had a curiosity about vegetables and was eager to try eggplants. He was such a gentle soul who had such a childlike innocence and was like a ray of sunshine. He never complained. I will miss his beautiful smile and sweet face. May he Rest In Peace…
