Ruth Ann Eierdam, 97, passed away December 11, 2017. She was born December 2, 1920 in Paducah, Kentucky to parents George L. Holliday and Flora Seaman Holliday. Ruth Ann was a 50-year resident of Texas City, Texas and worked as a retail clerk for Weiner’s clothing store for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Kenneth Eierdam and son, Charles “Chuck” Eierdam.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara A. Guthrie and husband Covin Guthrie, of Santa Fe, and Rae Ann Newton and her late husband Robin Newton of League City; sons, Kenneth O. Eierdam and wife Donna of Arcadia and Terry Lee Eierdam and wife Joquetta of Texas City; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, with the services beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Private burial will be scheduled at a later date.
