Ruby “MeMaw” Shaw, 93, of La Marque passed away on November 29, 2017 in Texas City, Texas. She was born October 19, 1924 in Jasper, Texas to Watt and Myrtie Morgan.
She was a longtime member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in La Marque, the Altar Guild and was a Sunday School Teacher.
She was a wonderful cook and loved working in her yard. Ruby never met a stranger and loved people, but her greatest love was for her Saviour Jesus Christ.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Bennett Shaw. She is survived by her daughter Margie Ferguson and husband Wesley, and son Mark B. Shaw; grandchildren Yvette Earles and David, Shane Ferguson and Misty, Britney Miller and Cory, Kelsey Shaw, Ben Shaw and Faith Shaw; great grandchildren Amanda, Kirsten, Jason, Shayley, Somer, Grayson, Natily and Tyler.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 8:30am – 9:45am at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in La Marque. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:00am with Father Bob Moore officiating. Burial will be at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, Texas.
