Ronald Gene “Mickey” Tindle
Ronald Gene “Mickey” Tindle crossed the final frontier on September 9, 2024, reuniting with his wife, Beverly, who preceded him in 2012. He lived long and prospered, watching the stars and photographing the moon. When he was focused on Mother Earth he was an avid birder, and yellow-crowned night herons and bluebirds were some of his favourites to spot. Music was always a huge part of his life, whether it was composing his own songs with Beverly, singing along with Peter, Paul and Mary, or watching the Christmas tree lights with Pink Floyd playing in the background. His love of music carried on well into his retirement and he was a proud supporter of the Pearland High School Pride of Pearland marching band. He served in the United States Navy, including his time as a sonarman aboard the U.S.S. Ault. He was also known to many as Red Cloud, a name that honoured his Cherokee heritage. A lifelong animal lover, he never met a dog he didn’t love. He leaves behind two adult children, Apryl and Wyndi, who know that he is not really dead as long as we remember him.
Scotty: one to beam up.
