Ronald Dale Stephens

Ronald Dale Stephens, of League City, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in Nassau Bay, Texas at the age of 68. He was born on March 15, 1956 in Midland, Texas to Ivy Joe and Ina Lee Stephens.

He retired from Halliburton after 42 years. He loved to fish and hunt and spending time with family and grandchildren. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. He worked over seas in Turkey, Iraq, Kuwait, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. He and his wife, Laura traveled to many different places across the world. He enjoyed being outdoors, entertaining friends and family, doing cook offs, watching grand daughters play softball, camping, and boating.

He was preceded in death by his Father Ivy Joe Stephens, Mother Ina Lee Stephens and Son Andrew Lee Stephens.

Ronald is survived by his Wife of 44 years Laura Michel Stephens, Daughter Stacie Lynn Carreon, Daughter in law Amanda Leigh Stephens, Sister Debra Jo Drake, Nephew Nicholas Adam Drake, Grandchildren Skylar Nicole, Phoenyx Rayne, Chloe Michel, Courtney Leigh, and Evan Dale.

The Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2:00pm with a Ceremony at 3 o’clock at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas 77573.

  1. Ron and I were friends many years ago. We enjoyed hunting at our deer camp and fishing at several lakes in Texas. We worked together at Shell’s Woodcreek Facility and at One Shell downtown Houston. He was almost always happy and willing to take on any job he was asked to do.
    When he went overseas we lost touch with each other. By the time he came home, we had gone our separate ways. I always intended to get together, but to my sorrow, we never did.

    I’ve missed you, Ron, and will miss you all the more.
