  20. So saddened by Roger’s passing. My mother loves to tell stories of how he and I would fight like cats and dogs one minute and be best friends the next. May God’s peace be with all his family.

  23. I met Roger 20+ years ago when he was the manager of the Randall’s Store in Texas City. After Randall’s left it was a real pleasure to get a chance to meet Roger again when he became the store manager at the Texas City Kroger store. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. I would talk to him and came to genuinely respect him for the way he managed the employees and always had the store in perfect order. He also did little things that really impressed me, if he saw an older person or someone having difficulty reaching a product on the shelf, I’d see him head down the aisle and get the item for them. Also, remember one occasion where a person was in a handicap cart and Roger spent a good while walking with them to get items for them. All in all he was just a very special man and will be missed.
