Robert “Rob” Dowlin McNamara
Robert “Rob” Dowlin McNamara passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in Webster, Texas, at the age of 55.
Rob was born on August 10, 1969, in Texas City, Texas to Robert Paul McNamara and Lynn (McNamara) Crum.
Rob was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and a true friend to many.
Professionally, Rob excelled in Material Management, working internationally with prestigious organizations such as Fluor Corporation, KBR, Halliburton, Parsons Corporation, and Ma’aden Saudi Arabian Mining Company.
Rob had a passion for music and could often be found singing his heart out, whether anyone was listening or not. He was the life of the party, known for his charisma, magnetic personality, charm and ability to light up any room he walked into. Rob lived a full and vibrant life, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met.
He embraced life’s adventures from the thrill of fishing to pursuing his love of deer hunting. From the time he was young, he always had the latest and greatest car or truck and he loved to share his excitement with everyone when he got something new.
His tastes extended to the finer things in life. He was a loyal fan of Luna’s margaritas and a proud supporter of the Houston Astros. He never met a steak and potato he didn’t like and his burgers were always just right—meat, cheese, and French’s mustard, nothing more, nothing less.
Rob is preceded in death by his grandparents, Zackie and Florence “Tootsie” O’Neal, and his stepfather, Thomas Crum.
He is survived by his wife, Siriluck Aeaw McNamara; his children, Zach McNamara, Gage McNamara and Jordan Alicia McNamara; his sisters, Alicia Maldanado (Michael) and Natalie McNamara; his mother, Lynn Crum; his father and stepmother, Robert Paul McNamara and Cindy McNamara; his nieces, Macy Franzese (Bryan) and Julia Jackson; his nephews, William Toalson and Preston Toalson; and his great-nephews, Luke Franzese and Brody Franzese.
The family will welcome friends for a visitation on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas. A celebration of Rob’s life will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.
Rob’s larger-than-life personality, warmth, and love for those around him will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
Our very sincere sympathy.
I will always miss you my favorite cousin
My family, The Selman’s, got to know Rob & his mom, Lynn through Rob & my brother, Billy Don, Jr playing pony-colt & 4 yrs LM High School varsity baseball. Always a very nice guy & great ball player. Loved how he always showed respect to my mom & dad when we were all out at the ball park, especially July 4th Pony Colt All Stars tournament.
So sad to lose another one so young. We lost Billy Don Jr. 3/26/14 & our dad, Billy Don Sr. 3/20/23.
We are sending love & prayers to Rob family especially his momma, Lynn during this time. We lost so many coaches & players that I bet they are getting together playing games of baseball. REST IN Peace Rob

You were loved by so many, and our hearts are heavy with the loss of you. It feels too soon to say goodbye, but we take comfort in knowing that God has other plans for you. I know you’re singing your heart out up there. Though we will miss you deeply, we find peace knowing you’re still sharing your light with the world in your own special way. Rest easy, and keep the music playing, my friend.
Love, Valarie & Trey Zimmerman
