Robert Michael Alonzo, Jr., 61 of Texas City passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 in Texas City.  He was born September 25, 1959 to Robert and Gloria Alonzo in Galveston, Texas.

Robert was a resident of Texas City for 10 years, formerly from Waller, Texas. He was a Correctional Officer in Harris County and a longtime member of Glad Tiding Assembly of God Church in Texas City.  Robert loved fishing.

Robert is survived by mother Gloria Limon; his father and step-mother; Robert Alonzo and Linda, his wife of 8 years, Patricia Evans Alonzo; daughter Christa Hewitt; three step-daughters: Katrina Richmond, Patricia Johnson and Torie Saenz, sons: Robert Michael Alonzo, III and Marcus Alonzo; two step-sons: Johnny Saenz and Casey Cook; sisters: Soina Marie Alonzo, Rebecca Wilson and D’Vette Alonzo; step-sister Jenny Werner, brother D’Arc Alonzo; step-brother Chris White and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 10:00am – 11:00am on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Texas City.  Funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Pastor John Humphries officiating.  Arrangements are in the care of the James Crowder Funeral Home, La Marque.
