Robert John Wheeler, 73, a resident of Cypress, Texas, passed away September 19, 2024. He was born in Rural Torrance, California on November 27, 1950, to parents, Don V. Wheeler and Beverly Jeanne Wheeler.

Robert was dedicated to his career as a successful and well-known insurance agent. He had a love for fishing with his friends and family, working out at the gym with his son, cooking or feeding anyone and everyone he could, and enjoying dinners with his daughter and son-in-law. He also cherished playing cards, watching sports, and spending time with his family at the Tiki House, especially with his grandchildren, Scarlett and Savannah.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, Joshua Wheeler, daughter, Marissa Sweet and her husband, Jeremy; grandchildren, Scarlett Sweet and Savannah Sweet, ex wife and friend Rosemary Wheeler, close friend Linda Dunn, sister, Donna Renee Presley-Falls; and his brothers, Jeff Wheeler and Mike Wheeler.

In his honor, there will be a visitation on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm with a rosary at 7:30pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson Texas. A funeral liturgy is planned for Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 12:00pm at St. Mary’s of the Expectation Catholic Church in League City, Texas. Committal will follow the at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. An after reception will take place next door to the cemetery at Water Grove Event Center.
