Robert Earl Musgrove

Robert Earl Musgrove of League City, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023, at his home at the age of 83. He was born on October 26, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan, to Jack Musgrove and Mary Lee Gean.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Ellen Musgrove; his son, Robert Musgrove, (wife Deborah); his daughter, Heidi Roth; his six grandchildren – Lindsay Barrera, Lauren Musgrove, Matthew Roth, Nathan Roth, Lydia Roth, Rachel Roth; his great grandchild, Elijah Barrera; his brothers, Charles Musgrove (wife Linda) and Thomas Catalano; and his sister, Anita Catalano.

Family and friends will remember him as a respectable, surprisingly humorous, and quietly strong man.

Robert was an Air Force veteran, who retired after 20 years of proud military service. As a result of his commitment to his country, he and his family experienced the world – Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, and France. The military also brought them to several states – Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas, Michigan, Illinois, Alabama, Utah, and Nebraska. His final military assignment was in Nebraska, where he put his two children through college at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. The family and extended family all became devoted Cornhusker football fans!

Robert completed his military service at Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. He then went to work for Harris Corporation.  He was able to enjoy retirement for many years with his family, and enjoy his favorite hobby – golf.

His final home was in League City, Texas, with his wife, Ellen, where they moved to be near their children and grandchildren.

Robert was laid to rest, with full Military honors, at the Houston National Cemetery following a private family ceremony on December 22, 2023.

We all love you so much, and thank you for your lifelong devotion to your family. You will be dearly missed.

“For having you in our lives, we’ve all been blessed. But now the time has arrived for you to rest”
