Rita Michelle Wohrle, age 63, passed away peacefully September 30, 2021 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Born September 21, 1958 in Lorain, Ohio to John And Bernice Wohrle. Rita grew up in New Jersey and spent much of her early adulthood traveling the country before becoming a long-time resident of Webster, TX.

Rita dedicated much of her career to the space industry where she was heavily involved in the protection of national assets, then worked and retired from a civilian position with the League City Police Department. In her free time she loved to spend her nights playing bingo together with her friends. Rita was an exceedingly kind person and a selfless, loving mother who had always placed her child’s needs above her own. She will be remembered for her charm and wit that brightened the lives of those around her.

Rita is survived by her son Steven Grell, mother Bernice Wohrle, sister Denise O’Chat, niece Kristina Rovinsky, Brother-In-Law Christopher O’Chat, and many friends and colleagues who will miss her strong, devoted and caring presence.

The Family will receive friends on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00am with a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 12:00PM at Crowder Funeral Home, 1645 East Main, League City, Texas  77573 with Reverend Bill Cole presiding.
