Raymond Wayne Hardcastle, 78, forty-year resident of Dickinson, Texas passed away November 2, 2015 in League City, Texas. He was born January 26, 1937 in Gonzales, Texas to parents, Herman Samuel Hardcastle and Annie Hardcastle. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, Texas.
He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #10393. Wayne worked for Verizon (GTE) for forty years as a construction supervisor. He was a sketch artist, a choir member, enjoyed woodworking, and loved dancing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Joyce Hardcastle Choate.
He is survived by his loving wife Lucille E. Hardcastle; sons, Lance and Alan Hardcastle; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm with a rosary beginning at 7:00 pm at Crowder Funeral Home in Dickinson, Texas.
Funeral Mass will be held Friday, November 6, 2015 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock, Texas. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Dickinson.
