  2. I met Ramiro in 1982 as I spent some time with family. Lisa and Jesse were just kids. I lived with Esteban and Lupe until 1984 when I came back to Chicago. My memories of Ramiro were of a hard working individual with a giving heart. Always willing to help in anyway he could. I never felt unwelcome. He always had a smile and a wonderful sense of humor. Loved his wit… always made us laugh. Such a wonderful soul. Ramiro you will be missed dearly my friend. Rest in Peace and give your wonderful wife Soila a hug from us. 🙏🙏

  3. My sisters and I used to refer to Ramiro by first name. It was never odd as he was a jokester with us and “got on our level” as kids and I will forever remember that. I remember him trusting my sister enough to ride his tractor and she ran it straight into a tree … he laughed as we all stood there, jaws dropped expecting to be yelled at. They don’t make men like him anymore. Sending love and prayers to the Rubio family. May God keep you all covered in his mercy and may he rest eternal with our precious Lord now & forever.
