RACHEL G. VILLAGOMEZ
Rachel G. Villagomez was born in Houston on January 27th, 1935 to Ophelia and Joe Gonzalez. Loving wife to Carlos for 69 years, and mother to Carlos Jr., Adolph, and Roni. She has 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Rachel and Carlos have lived in Webster since 1969 raising their family. The Villagomez family were active at St. Paul’s Catholic church in Nassau Bay. Owners of Carlos of NASA barber shop and The Beer Garden for 45 years. For the Beer Garden’s annual Christmas party, Rachel would make her homemade tamales that took a week to prepare. Rachel was a full-time homemaker and she enjoyed taking her children to baseball, football, and soccer practice, and later she did the same for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a sports fan and loved rooting for the Astros and the Texans. She is survived by her husband Carlos, sons Carlos Jr. and Adolph, and daughter Roni. We love and miss you.
A visitation will be on August 6, 2024 at Crowder Funeral Home, Webster from 5 – 8 PM. Service will be on August 7, 2024 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church at 10 AM, with Fr. Wencil Pavlovsky officiating. Graveside service at Forest Park East at 1 PM to follow.
She was an old friend, a special woman and she shall be missed.

Rachel was always so sweet to our mom. She and Carlos would come to milestone celebrations for our parents and mom. She was always gracious and loving as if we saw her often.
