Polly Turner Stewart
An angel on Earth, took her place in Heaven on Thursday, September 25, 2014. She was surrounded in spirit and in presence by her many friends and family.
Polly was a devoted wife to her husband, George Lindsay Stewart, who preceded her in death. She was a loving mother to her children: John Phillip Wolfinger III, David and wife Cindy Wolfinger, George and wife Eiko Stewart, Rebecca (Becky) Little, Alison and husband Dave Guinee, and Melissa and husband Mouhcine Belahcen and the late Elizabeth Stewart Rand. She was adored by her 17 grandchildren: Ken Stewart, Hope Wright, Hilary Little, Elise Henderson, Jeremiah Chavez, Emiko Stewart, Ashley Little, Elizabeth Chavez, Jack Wolfinger, Miranda Wolfinger, Joe Wolfinger, Mallory Guinee, Brockman Guinee, Liam Guinee, Catherine Custer, Trinity Custer, Sophie Belahcen and 5 great-grandchildren: Paige Henderson, Pollyanna Wolfinger, Aliya Tursunova, Aleena Stewart and Tommy Stewart.
Polly had a beautiful soul and a youthful exuberance, a quick sense of humor and a wonderful gentility. She was generous and forgiving, and loved with her whole heart.
Polly was a dedicated member of New Hope Baptist Church in Dickinson, TX. She enjoyed attending church services, playing bridge with “the girls” of Lake Haven, creating beautiful sewing and embroidery projects, making others laugh with her jokes and enjoying God’s many beautiful landscapes.
Most of all, Polly loved spending time with her family and friends. All who knew her, loved her.
