Phyllis Doris Smith, 81, of Texas City passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Long Island, New York to William and Lillian Kadlec.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Robert Lagrande Smith and her two sisters, Viola Wilson and Emily Brewer.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Diann Smith and Terri Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phyllis was a great cook and loved cooking for family and friends. She loved seafood and had a regular table at Red Lobster.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm with a Rosary at 6:00pm lead by The Legion of Mary at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Texas City with Father Clint Ressler officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas.

The family would like to especially thank The Legion of Mary at St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church who visited Phyllis every Friday and a special thanks to the staff of A*Med, especially Kim Schultz, Kim Hunter and Brinna Robinson.
