Pauline Louise Carlson
Pauline “Paule”, “Nana” Carlson, of League City, TX formerly Lewistown and Billings MT, died Dec. 22, 2020, at the age of 93.
Paule was born on April 28, 1927, in Hardin, MT to Merle and Berneice Bowers. She attended schools in Hardin and the Billings Business College. Later in life she received a Bachelor’s in Education from Eastern Montana College (MSU Billings). On Oct. 16, 1948, she married Roland Carlson of Lewistown.
After marrying and settling in Billings, she started her career in the business industry. She worked at Ashby Lumber Co. for several years before moving to the Real Estate Mart. For fun, she spent many years in the mountains of Montana with her husband and family enjoying boating, camping, hunting, and snowmobiling. During her retirement, she tried her hand in different craft projects and spent time with her husband and six grandchildren. After retiring she spent summers in Lewistown and headed south to Arizona and Texas for warmer weather during the winter months.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 57 years Roland Carlson. She is survived by; son Gary R. Carlson (of Billings) and wife Susan, grandchildren Gary Jr. and Emily (Corey Brown), great grandchild Alex Brown; son Dale A. Carlson (of Live Oak, CA) and wife Rania and granddaughter Gabrielle; daughter Marilyn R. Childers (of League City, TX) and husband Tom and grandchildren Courtney, Kevin, and Kelsey. She also has one niece, two nephews, and two great nephews.
So sorry to hear of Pauline’s death. When I couldn’t get her on the phone on her birthday, was worried so started looking for her on line. She lived a long life, but we are never ready to lose them. I k ow she loved all of you so much and was happy to spend the last several years near Marilyn and family.
