Paul Foust
Paul Douglas Foust of League City, Texas, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2020 at the age of 58.
Paul was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on July 15, 1961 to Charles and Dorothy Foust who preceded him in death. Paul is survived by his loving wife of nearly 38 years, Cathy Foust, his sons Brian Foust and Kevin Foust (Rachael), and grandchildren Charles Foust and Lana Grelle, all of League City. Paul is also survived by two sisters: Barbara Powell (David) and Marcia Fox (Dave) of Austin. Paul also leaves many extended family members including parents-in-law: Donald and Sharon Dean; brothers-in-law: Rick Dean (Phuong), Greg Dean (JingYan), Jeff Dean (Candy); and sister-in-law: Judy Dean. Paul also leaves many cherished nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends and co-workers.
Paul always had a love for fixing things and technology. He was very well regarded in the automotive community and worked in the industry for nearly 40 years as a Service Director at various Houston Area dealerships. Paul had a love for learning and received many awards and recognitions throughout his career. He had a big heart and he loved serving his family, friends, and community. Paul was an active member of Clear Creek Community Church for many years. He and Cathy, his wife, made many life-long friends in small group. His warm smile and contagious laughter filled any room as he shared his stories, advice, and life adventures. Paul will be remembered as a loving husband, dad, papaw, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a future date.
“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.” Psalms 139:7-10 NIV
I absolutely love this memorial picture of Paul for it captures his gentle, friendly and loving spirit. Those close to him know that behind that friendly and very approachable smile was a subtle but very entertaining wit and dry humor we all loved and will dearly miss. Somehow we allow ourselves to forget how fleeting and fragile life can be, times like this offer a grim reminder to appreciate each moment. I am grateful for the PROMISE that we will be reunited with our dear friend one day and that we can honor his memory by continuing to love and stand by his lovely family as they learn to carry on without him.
A lovely tribute to Paul, such a loving and giving man. We are blessed that he was with us and modeled a loving life. He will be missed and remembered through those whose lives he touched.
We are so blessed to have known such a wonderful man of God. We will always cherish his friendship

Cathy, Kevin, Rachael and family, this was such a shock. My heart is with you. Paul was always so nice, pleasant, sweet to talk to and a great father-in-law to my niece, Rachael. Much love to you. 💕
thank you for loving my grandpa
I had pleasure to work with Paul last three and half years, awesome coworker and friend, will be truly missed.
As a product of the love Paul had for education and for the service departments and dealers he served, I would not be anywhere near the man I am today. From a boss and mentor to a friend and a brother in Christ, Paul shepherded me and was instrumental in my growth. I learned so much from him, professionally and spiritually.
As a friend and brother, he meant the world to me. His devotion and love for his family was just another facet of what Paul meant to all of us.
Rest well, brother. We know you are in the presence of your Abba. We will miss your presence here, but only in anticipation of our family reunion in eternity. I love you both, Paul and Cathy. Praying constantly.
We love you and will greatly miss you. I still don’t believe you are not here! You were a great boss and prayer friend in Christ! You always had a positive outlook, and looked on the better side of things. Rest in Peace with the Lord God my friend! I am a better person for knowing you!
This is such a great picture of Paul. We were fortunate to be neighbors with the Foust family for nearly 15 years. Paul was a great friend and neighbor, with a kind and giving heart. Over the years, those acts of kindness ranged from retracing our walk at night with a flashlight and finding our daughter’s pacifier to any automotive questions and/or issues. He always greeted us with a smile, and a kind word and that is how we will remember him. His deep love for Cathy and their boys was very obvious to our family. Our sincere condolences to Cathy, Brian, Kevin and the family.
I’ve been Paul’s GM Rep for that last 9 years. He was such a positive person and I enjoyed our visits. He will truly be missed by me and many others that relied on his experience and knowledge of the dealership service industry. Paul was a friend and mentor to many in Houston. His big smile will be greatly missed.

I feel in my heart God has a very special project for Paul
Rest in peace my friend
I worked for Paul from 2009-2010 and he always respected me and was truly involved if I had questions or any issues. He was a great boss a great man and a great leader. I hate that he passed so young but I’m thankful to see all the lives he touched
I wanted to share one remembrance of Paul I will always keep near to my heart. My husband, Gary, and I attended Paul & Cathy’s son Kevin’s wedding in Louisiana last year. Because we are from Houston, we really only knew one other couple there. Paul saw us, pulled up a chair, and spent a long time talking and laughing with us. He was so genuinely glad we came, and showed that by his actions. A great big smile and love for people are so characteristic of Paul.
Cathy, Brian, & Kevin: I am praying for your family. I take comfort in the fact that we will see Paul again, and that he is being comforted in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ.
Paul’s positive personality was certainly infectious on everyone around him. Very nice man that will be missed by many in our community. My condolences to his family at this sad time. May God bless you.
