Patricia Howard

Patricia Jill Howard was born in Uxbridge,  England on November 5, 1934 to Thomas Edward Owen and Jean Owen.   She went to be with Jesus on Sunday July 26th at 85 years of age.

As a little girl, she lived through WWII and the bombing of her family home in London. She joined the WRNS, Women’s Royal Naval Service, at 18 years of age. Shortly after, she met her husband E.L. “Tex” Howard who was serving in the US Air Force at Hillingdon, England during the Korean War.  She and Tex married  on Jan 2, 1954 and moved to Texas.    She worked for a life insurance company for 30 years serving as a treasury vice president. She was active in the Transatlantic Brides and Parents Association.   She loved to play board games and was seldom beaten.  Even more than games, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who fondly called her Nana.   In retirement, she and her husband traveled in their motor home full time for 20 years, fulfilling a life long dream.

Patricia Jill Howard is preceded in death by her husband, E.L. “Tex” Howard, parents, Thomas Edward and Jean Owen,  and brother, Malcolm Owen. She is survived by her brother Trevor Owen. She is also survived by her son Trevor Howard with his wife Monica Howard , and son Scott Howard with his wife Pam Howard.  She is survived by 9 grandchildren- Brian Howard with his wife Carrie Jo, Brad Howard with his wife Janelle, Kristin Jones, Jason Jones with his wife Jaylyn, Garrett Howard, and Jacqueline Howard, Katelyn Britton with husband Joel Britton, Hannah Crosley and Seth Crosley.  She is survived by 7 great grandchildren- Kennedi Jo Howard, Milo Howard, Quinn Howard, Everleigh Jones, Owen Britton, Luke Britton and Jane Britton.

In celebration of her life, Patricia chose to have her ashes along with her husband’s ashes scattered by her family on Engineer Pass in Colorado in lieu of a memorial service.
