Oliver Uzoukwu was born on November 9th, 1945 in Umudium, Imo State, Nigeria to parents: Uzoukwu Nwanyanwuaki and Unice Ononiwu. Oliver was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, family members, and friend to so many people. He came to the United States with his wife Rosemond Uzoukwu in December 1976.

He traded his earthly life for his heavenly home on April 3, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 76. Oliver is survived by his wife: Rosemond Uzoukwu; children: Alvin Uzoukwu and wife Wanda; Jason Uzoukwu and wife Astrid; and Rachel Uzoukwu; Brother Eleazar Uzoukwu; four beautiful grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, other family members and friends.

Oliver attended and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Texas Tech University in Lubbock. He earned his Masters Degree in Banking and Finance at The University of Texas Permian Basin in Odessa, Texas. He enjoyed playing tennis as a hobby while in school.

Oliver was a member of Umudim Town Union and Mbaitoli Ikeduru Association which was created to meet the needs of each other and the people back in Nigeria. Oliver was truly a man of faith, kind, caring, and a giver. He loved his family and was always willing to help in any way possible. May his mind and soul rest in peace.

There will be a visitation held at Greater Life Church 1655 FM 528 Rd, Webster, Texas 77598, on Saturday May 7, 2022, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. There will be service to follow starting at 5:00pm.
