Olinda “Linda” Silguero
Olinda “Linda” Silguero, 85 of La Porte, Texas was called to Heaven January 19, 2024. She was born on April 24th, 1938, in Martindale, Texas to Rafael Gonzales Sr. and Virginia Lopez Gonzales. She married Frutoso Silguero Jr., on April 5th, 1954.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael Gonzales, Sr. and Virginia Lopez Gonzales, husband, Frutoso Silguero, Jr., daughters Velia Silguero and Delia Silguero, brothers, Joel Lopez and Richard Lopez, sisters, Irene Trinidad, Minerva Falcon and Lilia Flores.
Linda is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Celia and Mario Barragan, Jr. Silvia and Oscar Garcia, and Bertha and Joe Hector Calderon, Sr., grandchildren, Maricela Gaytan and husband Jeremy, Mario Armando Barragan, Jeffrey Garcia and wife Criselda, Jennifer Johnson and husband Reggie, Jeremy Garcia, Joe Hector Calderon, Jr. and wife Katie, great-grandchildren, Maddyn Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Killian Garcia, Audrey Garcia, Sophia Isabella Barragan, Murphy Calderon and Matilda Calderon, brothers, Ralph Gonzales, Eleazar Lopez and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church located at 138 W. Austin St. New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 A.M. with a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow in the Memory Lawn Cemetery located at 19106 Hwy 80, San Marcos, Texas 78666

Aunt Linda, thank you so much for your unselfish love and care of our family. You helped me/us so much when mom had her stroke. You continued to love and care for your brother, my dad, in so many ways, especially with your phone calls, to make sure dad was okay. I enjoyed our conversations and loved your stories about how much you loved and were so proud of your daughters. I will miss you but know God has welcomed you with open arms.
