Nancy Neal Rose
Today we mourn the death of the most lovely bloom on the Rose family tree, Nancy Neal Rose. After a long battle with her third bout of cancer she finally found her peace on Thursday the 14th, 2019 when she returned to our Lord. Nancy was a brave and stubborn 73 year old woman with a passion for crafts and her family. She loved to scrapbook and cook. When she wasn’t doing either of those things she was spending time with her family and friends or volunteering as a singer in the local choir. Never was there a moment where she wasn’t talking to or with the people she loved. Even when she was nearing her end she insisted upon coming home and only then, when she was surrounded by her family and the comforts of her own home, did she pass. She was loved by so many people, but no more than the very family she held together. On top of being an outstanding daughter she was also an amazing sister, a loving and nurturing mother, and the absolute best grandmother in the world. There will never be anyone who can replace her but the love and memories she shared with us will keep us going on. Nancy is survived by her husband of 53 years, Alvin George Rose, and her two daughters, Deborah McMullen and Nancy Felts, as well as her three grandchildren and her numerous siblings and mother. Her viewing will be held on Monday the 18th at the Shrine of the True Cross from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, after that there will be a rosary from 9:30AM to 10:30 AM, then her Funeral Mass will take place from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, after which we will be burying her at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
