Myrna Kay Hernandez, a resident of Texas City, Texas passed from this life, March 30, 2017, at UTMB in Galveston. Myrna was born to proud parents, Junior and Frances Welch, on March 26, 1943, in Sterling,  Colorado. Myrna was the owner and operator of Freed Insurance Co. and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hernandez; daughter, Ronda Sue George; step-daughter, Laura Hernandez; and brothers, Larry Welch and David Willis Miles.

Myrna leaves to cherish her memories, daughter, Vicki Lynn Holland and husband Alan; son, Chris Hernandez and wife Alyssa; step -daughter, Debbie Hernandez; step-son, Fred Hernandez; her sister, Lorraine Teuscher; as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In her honor, a visitation will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2017, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Crowder Funeral Chapel in Dickinson, Texas
