Myra Kimball
Myra Orr Budinsky Kimball passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at her son’s residence at the age of 91. Myra was born on April 30, 1923 in Quanah, Texas to Luther and Greeba Orr.
In her calling as a social worker, she helped many people-young and old. She dearly loved the Episcopal Church and continued her work through the church. During her time at Palmer Church, Houston, she developed the Newcomers ministry to help attract new families to the Episcopal Church. She worked diligently for the Episcopal Diocese of Texas in the Department of Evangelism and Renewal, chairing many workshops to assist area churches in this endeavor.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Margaret Orr Schultz, Thomas Orr and Harry Joe Orr, first husband; George Budinsky, Sr. and Melvin Kimball.
She is survived by, her son; Bo Budinsky of La Marque, niece; Nancy Meadows of Texas City, cousin; Cathie Goforth of League City and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Myra’s life will be held at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church (1601 Lake Road, La Marque), Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Fr Bob Moore and Rev. Francene Young officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.

Bo, it was with great sadness that I learned of Myra’s passing. She had, and always will have, a special place in my heart. She was a very special lady and you are blessed to have had her for 91 years.

My Condolences to Bo and Family. I ran into Myra and your step father some 15 years ago( May have been longer?) at Sams club in Texas City. I Saw her a couple more times after that and enjoyed talking with her. As a Child growing up your parents made a very positive Impression on me. Myra was a very fine lady with lots of life. May she Rest in Peace.

Hi Bo, My mom ( Nan Orr) and I were just wondering about you and your mom. I googled her name and saw this post of her passing. It’s terribly hard to lose our parents and I send my heartfelt condolences. I have many happy memories of spending time with Myra, particularly as a youngster in Texas. Sending you healing wishes.
