Mr. Robert Sum Huynh, 81, a loving father and husband, passed away on February 2, 2022 in Seabrook, Texas.  He was born on December 12, 1940 to Huynh Ton and Hua Thi Chu.  Robert grew up in Thot Not/Long Xuyen, Vietnam.  Robert married Mindy Nguyet Nguyen in 1968 and were happily married for 54 years.

Robert was renowned for his kindness and generosity.  He was a compassionate caregiver to his community and village.  He donated money and own labor to build road in the rural area.  After emigrating to the Houston area in 1980, Robert achieved great success in the retail business with his entrepreneurial skills and spirit.

Robert is survived by his spouse Mindy; his daughters: Phuong (Lianne) with husband John Yee, Hoang (Jennifer) with husband David Martin, Huyen with husband Bobby McDonald; and sons: Truong (Johnny) and Tao (Danny); his brother Hiep Huynh and brother-in-law Tong (Steven) Nguyen; his grandchildren Alyson and Ashlyn Yee, Roland and Jake Limosnero, Faith and Grace McDonald.

A memorial service will be held on February 7, 2022 at 10:00 am in the chapel of Crowder Funeral Home in Pearland with burial at Forest Park East Cemetery.  The Huynh family will be making a contribution to the Alzheimer’s Association to provide support and accelerate research.
