Michael (Mike) Spyros Varsos

Michael (Mike) Spyros Varsos, a longtime resident of Seabrook, TX was discovered on 01 March 2025 as having passed away peacefully at home.  Mike was 65 years old and born in Philadelphia, PA to Noula and the late Spyros Varsos.  He was one of four children and is survived by his mother, Noula; brother, George and his spouse, Andria Varsos; his sisters, Vicki and Martha (Mickie) Varsos as well as nieces, grandnieces and many wonderful Greek cousins!

Although Mike worked as a general construction contractor, he had an uncanny mechanical aptitude making him versatile in a myriad of trades, almost too many to count.  He was always interested in learning new skills and “diving” into new areas of interest.  Mike had many passions and was known as an avid boater, pilot, scuba diver, skurfer, sky diver, botanist, hoarder and the list goes on!  If someone broached a subject that he was unfamiliar with, he had a tendency to barrage them with questions in his never ending thirst for knowledge.  Some people may not have appreciated his assertive candor and straightforwardness, however those who knew him well, valued his candid honesty.  Although his schedule was always filled with work and activities, if he was needed by friends or family, he would immediately respond to the call and be there to help out.  Throughout his life, he was known for being steadfastly reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy by friends, family and colleagues.

A funeral memorial will be held on Saturday, March 15th at 4:00 pm at the Crowder Funeral Home located at 111 E. Medical Center Blvd, Webster, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made in honor of Mike to the Cancer Research Institute https://give.cancerresearch.org

or the World Central Kitchen https://wck.org/ .
