Mickey was born on June 15th 1957 at Galveston County Memorial in Texas City, Texas. He and Sandy met at First Baptist Church League City in 1970.
They were married June 25th 1976.
Mickey was a 1975 graduate of Clear Creek High School.
He worked for Telecom Technicians Inc. as an STX Service Center Manager.
Mickey was a member and Chairman of Deacons at Texas Avenue Baptist Church.
He had a passion for sound and audio.
As a teenager at First Baptist Church League City he learned the in’s an out’s of Sound and Audio. He was mentored by some of the best worship leaders.
He used that passion and talent to serve the Lord on the Sound / Audio Technician Team at Bay Area Baptist Church and for the past several years at Texas Avenue Baptist Church.
He truly loved his church family and his deacon family group.
Mickey was a loving husband and father. He loved his children but adored his grandchildren. One of the proudest moments of his life was being a grandfather. He loved being an uncle and great uncle to his many nieces and nephews and their children.
Although Mickey’s heart wasn’t physically strong it was bigger than life. He and Sandy opened their hearts and home to 2 little kids and raised them as their own. Later on in life, he didn’t bat an eye to move his mother in law (who had Parkinson’s) into their home.
Even though it was hard on him he enjoyed working on the mowing crew at church. He always wanted to do his part in serving God.
He loved playing golf with his brother in law and friends.
Always looked forward to the family camping trips to Wimberly.
Later in life he enjoyed spending time in the summer at Canyon Lake with family. Mickey was known as the Dr. Pepper addict, whether it was a Dr. Pepper can in his hand or his Dr. Pepper license plate on his car. You knew the drink of his choice was Dr. Pepper.
Mickey was strong in his Christian faith and he loved the Lord with all his heart.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Texas Avenue Baptist Church.
We as a family look forward to a joyful reunion someday with him. What a joyous reunion that will be.
Visitation is from 5-8pm on Monday, May 18th at Texas Avenue Baptist Church.
Celebration of his life will be on Tuesday, May 19th at 2pm at Texas Avenue Baptist Church, 302 Texas Avenue, League City, Texas 77573.
He will be privately laid to rest in the family cemetery (Tetter Cemetery) on Wednesday, May 20th.
Oh Sandy I love you so much and we are praying for you all.

May God give you each His comfort and strength for your days without this fine man of God here with you. What a blessing to have good memories of Mickey’s love for you.
Growing up, most people heard the name Mickey and immediately though of Mickey Mouse, or started singing “Oh Mickey, you’re so fine…”, but not me. I had an Uncle Mickey and he was the first thing I thought of when someone said Mickey. He was the one person growing up who we loved popping fireworks with because he always had a lighter and could quickly relight our punks without having to run back inside to the stove. He let my brother and me drive the golf cart sometimes and later helped me learn to play golf. This man loved his wife, his kids, Dr. Pepper, Football, Golf, and still most importantly he loved God. I’ll always hear the name Mickey and smile because he was the best Mickey I ever knew! (Even if they leave out the first part of his name… Uncle. Doesn’t sound right without calling him UNCLE Mickey) He will be missed, but he will always be loved.
Sandy I am so sorry to hear of the loss if Mickey. You and your family are in my prayers.
Mickey will always have a very special place in our hearts We saw him grow from
sweet teenager to a Godly man who God used to do great things.
There has been a watershed of tears here. We know he is safe with Jesus and we will treasure each of our memories of him.
To the best youth group ever. We love each of you as our children.
I’m so sorry. Prayers for you all.
Sandy and family: We are so sorry for your loss of Mickey. He will be fondly remembered from days at BAFBC as “the sound man” who made everything sound better. Sorry we can’t be there for his service. Blessings to you Sandy.

you through this difficult time. May he surround you with his courage and keep
you always in his love.
