Melanie Rien, 71 passed away on December 10, 2022, in Houston, TX. She was born February 5, 1951, in Nederland, TX, to Hollis Wilson and Mary Laverne Wilson. Melanie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Rien, and brother, Kent Wilson. Surviving Melanie is her: daughter, Jennifer Butler and son-in-law, Christopher Butler; son, Christopher Rien and wife, Stephanie Rien; grandchildren, Brianna Mason and John Mason; great granddaughter, Alex Mason; sister, Kimberly Bernard; and numerous family members and friends
She earned a degree in nursing and worked as a registered nurse in rehabilitation until retiring. She had a passion for helping others and devotion to her family. She was loved by many and will be missed.
On Thursday, December 15, 2022, Melanie’s family will greet guests from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 7 p.m. for a service at Crowder Funeral Home, Webster, TX.
