Maurita J. Gallagher of Nassau Bay, Texas, passed away on Aug. 25, 2015. She was born May 7, 1939, in Shawnee, Okla.

Maurita was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 36 years Bob Gallagher, her mother Dorothy Knoles, brother Jimmie Witt and daughter Debbie Meyers.

She is survived by her sister Beverly Carson and husband Jerry, son Don Murphy, stepchildren Shawn Gruss, Gary Gallagher, DeLinda Ruffino, Bobby Lewis and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maurita will be missed by her many friends in her Birthday lunch group, Bee by the Bay quilters group, Bay Area Republican Women, Houston Symphony League Bay Area, St. Johns Aquatics group and Nassau Bay Garden Club.

She and husband Bob served on the board of directors of Boys and Girls Harbor.

A memorial service was held on Aug, 29, 2015, at Crowder’s Funeral Home Clear Lake.
